Happy Valentine's Day! It's been snowing here all afternoon. My husband took the dog for a walk to the creek in the back of our property, but I'm quite content to sit here in the living room, enjoying the nice fire he built for me!
I've been slow stitching on my second star for my Hexie Stars quilt. Here is the center rosette. The center looks really dark in this photo, but it's the same Kaffe Fassett grape shot cotton that I used for the center of my first star.
Here is one of the rosettes for the star point. I have two finished and I'm working on the third.
None of the rosettes are sewn to each other, but this gives you an idea of how this star is shaping up:
What slow stitching have you been up to lately? I'm linking up with Kathy's Slow Sunday Stitching and Sarah's HeLP for Hexie-aholics.
Happy stitching!

Your hexies are looking lovely and "red".
I am gearing up to do some EPP and Morrell has at least 2 blocks where I can start.
Hexies made with Kaffe fabric will be bright and colorful. I have yet to try piecing hexagons. A nice hand sewing project.
these hexies are looking good, a lovely way to spend a cold weekend hand stitching is so relaxing. I so like Kaffe fabrics but only half two half metre pieces they are so expensive here
Beautiful! Love your fabric choices!
I always love this design - I have one with black star points, but I didn't put it together that way. And it isn't finished. =) So interesting all the things that are done with hexagons! I'd have stayed by the fire, too!
LOVE the prints you are using - your star is fabulous! And who doesn't love a pretty shot cotton?! I have 3 I'm working with right now. Wish I knew the names of my colors cuz I could use more of the limey shot cotton.
Stunning fabrics! This is going to be gorgeous.
